Print Results and Ipad

Feb 14, 2013

I created 4 survey questions and am using the Print Results and modified the (report.html) page to have only the question number, question and the student response. This works beautifully on the computer.  I ran a test of it on my Ipad and the Print Results button doesn't do anything.  Can anybody shed light?  Help please and thanks.

It has been a while since I ran into this, but I have a vague recollection that Articulate overlooked converting the Print to HTML.  I seem to recall that Print remains a Flash option, so it doesn't run on an iPad.  Someone might jump in and confirm or deny this.

One option, if you absolutely *had* to print something would be to publish an index.html page along with your course.  Clicking a button to open that page might be an option, but again, you're stuck with whether the iPad has printer support or not.

Thanks, Sam. I'm not looking for a completion certificate. Rather, I'm looking for a way to allow learners to save text they've entered into the tutorial.

This reference looks helpful: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=llwes8cn32vg

I bet I could use player.GetVar to populate a nice-looking HTML page with the user entries and even put a print button on it. I like this solution a lot better than editing the story.html file.

Since JavaScript won't work in the Articulate iOS app, I'm still stuck for a solution for the iPad. Wouldn't you know, iPad compatibility is a requirement for my project.

So back to Dianne's original question: how the heck can we make learner entries on the iPad available to them from outside of the Articulate app?

Well, you could test your course in iPad/Safari/SCORM on the LMS.  Perhaps you'll be in luck and your course will run in Safari.  There you will have complete JavaScript support.
