Breaking a module into several lessons or modules...

Here's how to divide a long course into separate courses:

• Duplicate the course.  

• Rename each copy of the course as needed.
• Delete the unwanted content from each course.

Here's how to divide an existing lesson into multiple lessons:

• Optional tip: Make a duplicate of the course before you do the steps listed below. This will give you a backup of the original content for reference.
• For each new lesson needed, do this:
  • Create a block template that includes all of the blocks that should go into a separate lesson. (FYI: Here's more info about Block Templates: https://articulate.com/support/article/Rise-Creating-Sharing-and-Reusing-Block-Templates )
  • Add a lesson to the course.
  • In the new lesson, insert the block template that contains the blocks for that lesson. 
  • Verify that all of the appropriate blocks have been transferred to the appropriate lessons.
• Return to the original lesson, and delete the blocks that are no longer needed. (Or, if you create and copy block templates for all of the blocks in the original lesson, you could just delete that entire lesson).
