There are a few different ways you can share your course with learners or export it. Take a look at this article for all the details, and I'd suggest looking at using the Export to PDF option!Â
My company requires a word document for QA review of Rise courses so PDF is not an option. Is there ever going to be a possibility to have an option to publish to word? When I publish to PDF and try to convert using MS Word it crashes my Word application.
We appreciate your feedback! I can see why being able to export to MS Word would be useful to you. You can always submit a feature request here. I'll make sure to update you with any news.
Has there been an update on whether Rise will add ability to export to MS Word file? Currently, the only option to get the export to Word seems to be to use the PDF export, and then use Acrobat to export that PDF to a Word document. It would be nice if the could export directly to Word.
Thanks for checking in, Clarie! While you can export a Rise 360 course as a PDF, there isn't a way to export directly to a Word file. Thanks for letting us know what you need!
I also submitted a feature request. Hopefully there will be enough to get this functionality! We publish to Word to create user guides for our courses.
I have this same requirement. Interesting that this is a feature of Storyline but not Rise. I haven't had a use for PDF but have used word a lot as an export for comments, storyboarding etc. Will this be added at some point in the near future?

Thanks for checking in on this feature. We will definitely update this thread if we make any changes that will help!
Hi Hazel,
This got added right?
Hi Matthew,
Rise cannot publish directly to Word.
You need to publish to PDF, then convert the PDF to Word.
Because of how Rise creates the PDF, the resulting Word doc is difficult to work with.
a much needed feature, we are spending too much time to create job aids
I agree, need a way to publish to Word for many reasons.
Please please save me hours of converting Rise to a word document. Exporting to pdf and then converting to Word does not work.
We also have a need for this, please, please can this be a product improvement feature
