I have Word docs as file attachments for learners to download; but as soon as they do, it changes the filename to a long string of letters. Why is this and what can be done to prevent that? This doesn't happen when you have a PDF (it maintains the filename). I know I can just have it as a PDF, but this document needs to be in an editable Word doc.
Hi there, Richard. I'm seeing extra characters only when I host my sample course on a web server and access it with Internet Explorer 11. Other browsers don't add extra characters to the file name when downloading, on my end.
Can you let me know some details:
How are you sharing the course? Web, LMS, Share link?
In which browsers do you see the extra characters?
Thanks for those details, Richard. Could you privately share your output with us for testing by clicking here?
It is still working for me on SCORM Cloud without adding extra characters, and we'd like to start by ruling out what Rise 360 is producing when you export your course. Thanks!

It doesn't matter the browser (Chrome, Safari, or Edge), but I've got it hosted through an LMS/SCORM Cloud.
