Keyboard shortcut won't undo table deletion

Jun 23, 2023

A colleague of mine is a bit frustrated right now, as he tried to delete a row from a table in Articulate Rise using the dropdown menu, accidently deleted the entire table and couldn't undo this via the keyboard shortcut CTRL+Z. The undo shortcut does function when writing text in text containers, but not when changing the layout of tables.

Would it be possible to implement keyboard shortcuts for editing tables? I'd appreciate alternative suggestions for fixing incidental editing mistakes when working with tables as well.

Regards,

Marc

Hi Marc!

So sorry to hear that the Ctrl Z function isn't working with tables.

I did some testing, and I can replicate the behavior:

If you select one cell, then choose delete table, you will be able to use CTRL+Z to get the table back. However, if you select all of the cells and delete the table, CTRL+Z won't bring back the table back. The issue also seems to happen when you have more than one cell selected and then you click on Delete table.

So sorry you ran into this issue. I have reported it, and we'll update this thread if we make changes!
