I have a 5 sec video that I would like to loop as a background. The loop works fine in Storyline using triggers - play media/ when media completes - but it only plays once when it is embedded in a Rise course. Has anyone experienced the same?
I created a simple looping video in Storyline 360, then I embedded it in Rise using a Storyline Block. Check out my sample course here! (BTW the video of a puppy playing on the beach is sure to cure any Tuesday blues 😁)
That Storyline slide only has one trigger: Play media Video 1 when the media completes on Video 1. Is that the same trigger you're using?
Also, are you on the latest update of Storyline 360? To check, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. You should see 3.20.16814.0 in the bottom-right corner.
I actually figured out what was going on about 1/2 hour before reading your
email. I have a chrome plugin that blocks HTML5 videos from playing
automatically, great for blocking ads, but it also blocks videos in
Rise evidently - although it half worked, just not the loop.
As an FYI, Chrome has also started to block autoplay of media in the browser itself and Storyline 360 includes a fix for it in the latest updates described here.
