massive delay wen typing and with some templates

Hello everybody, just to see if anyone else (other than my colleague, who has the same issue) is suffering through this issue:

When I write (any) text in Rise there is a massive delay between typing and the words showing on the page. Likewise, some templates like the "sort" activity and carousel take forever to load, typing in them is almost impossible, and when I add soft-hyphens to words they don't show at all any more. Customer support told me to clean cookies, close- reload, you know... all the standards tricks but nothing seems to improve the situation. 

That's why I'm reaching out to the community now, to see if other people are in the same boat, and/or know a solution.
