Multiple quizes in one course

Sep 05, 2023

Hi Heroes,

I am creating an assessment in Rise, that is scenario based. It is created as a course where each lesson has a scenario created in storyline360, followed by a single question quiz in Rise. The participants have to watch the scenario and then answer the question and hence I cannot put all questions in a single quiz. Now this assessment course in Rise has 8 lessons (& 8 separate quizzes). What do we do to ensure that when published the results show an aggregate of scores from all quizzes? If this is not possible, is there an alternative? Like including an storyline element as part of the quiz question or some other method? Any direction would help as we have to host this on our LMS soon.

Thanks

In Rise, a graded Quiz has to be in its own "lesson." And a course can be tracked via only 1 graded Quiz.

Here's what you could do: add the question to the Storyline block (or put it in a separate Storyline block).

  • Put a "Complete course" trigger on the Correct layer of the quiz question.
  • Allow unlimited attempts, that is, let them answer the question until they get it correct.
  • Publish the Storyline to Review 360 with the tracking option set to use the Complete course trigger.

In Rise, add a Continue button that requires the user to complete the Storyline block.

That method means the user must get 100% to complete the course, because otherwise they couldn't reach the end. However, Rise would track those as scores. For tracking in Rise, add another Storyline block with a completion trigger, and use that for tracking. Or just track based on reaching the end of the course.

Or, for a simpler solution, just produce the entire course in Storyline. Then you could have a Results slide that tracks the questions that appear after each scenario.
