Not able to advance after completion
Aug 29, 2018
I was trying to create a branched scenario in Rise as I saw it in a posted sample. It kinda works but my problem is that if I turn off the prev/next buttons, then the continue button stops working under the video. If I turn it back on, it works without a problem but then later the learners can go to the "previous/next page" even if it is a Button Stack block where I really do not want them to see that.
It's a very simplified, sample "course" but you can see what my problem is.
This one is with the previous and next option turned off. This is how it should be but here, for some reason, I cannot move anywhere after watching the video.

This one is with previous and next option turned on. I can move on after watching the video but then on the "slide" where the story should move on according to their selection, you can see the previous and next when you scroll up or down and that is not good since I want them to see only the "slide" that is connected to their choice.

Any ideas why it is happening or how I could fix it? Am I missing something?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Katalin,
It's difficult to say without seeing all the settings in each Rise course, and what's set to appear next. I'll start a Support case for you and that will allow you to send a copy of your Rise courses to our team to take a look at.
Keep your eyes out for an email from Support@articulate.com!
Ok, thank you.
Though when I was looking for an answer on the net, I saw that other people had the same problem so maybe there is an additional step that the creator of the post I tried to utilize used and I'm just missing that additional step...
Hi Katalin!
If you add a Continue button to the end of a lesson, it will only advance you to the next lesson if you have the Prev/Next buttons turned on.
Since you want to turn the Prev/Next buttons off, I would suggest using a Button Block instead of a Continue button.
Then, you can set up the Button Block to go to the next lesson when the learner clicks the button. Let me know if that helps you!
Thank you so much! It explains why the continue did not work that way. I didn't know that.
