I have added an audio multimedia block and click the start recording button and record my audio but the template still plays. It is like it isn't picking up my mic maybe but, my mic works as I just recorded something else in a different software.

Can you test if the same issue occurs in a new Rise course, and in a new Audio block?
Make sure that your web browser is supported and updated to the latest version. Try clearing the cache as well and then try recording the audio. Here's how to do it for your browser: - Google Chrome - Firefox - Safari - Microsoft Edge
In addition, try using a different web browser when recording the audio in Rise, and see if helps resolve the issue.
