There doesn't seem to be a way to undo an action in Rise without losing everything. I accidentally deleted a table (I thought was deleting a row) and I couldn't undo the action. Is there a way to do that? If not, that really would be a helpful thing to create.
Until the delete button is permanent, I have found that publishing to Articulate Review gives me a sort of version control and has also allowed me to cut and paste from Review to Rise when I accidentally deleted a lesson.
Hi, just deleted a block of information by accident. Undo does not work, nor did an option to undo pop up. This is very frustrating as there doesn't seem to be an option to restore to an old version. Please fix tihs.
When you delete an entire block, the Undo option will appear in the lower-left corner for several seconds to allow you to recover that content. If you no longer see the Undo button, there isn't any way to recover the deleted content.
+1 to Matthew and Latoya's suggestions. Being able to delete an entire section or lesson with only a few seconds to click undo is really, really, annoying. 30 minutes of work down the drain after 1 accidental click of the mouse.
I totally agree - what were you thinking???? I barely noticed the undo button and when I did it was gone. Poor planning there guys. A permanent button - something, anything but a pretty basic request.
+1 for sure, IDK what tech would be required but def need a general undo for the course regardless of author on the team. Yeah the deleted block undo that's gone in seconds isn't particularly supportive.
In general, we need visibility into feature requests, ability to upvote and watch their status like "researching, doing/not doing, whatever. Docebo (though incredibly slow on getting features out) has an interesting UI along this line.
Agreed Chris. Docebo even recently updated their ideas portal to make it better and made a pledge to review ideas weekly. There are so many small (and large) changes that could be made with Rise that I would make it much more friendly and thoughtful. I would be happy to contribute ideas and help make Rise 360 a better platform for writers and learners!
Very frustrating that the undo button only appears for a few seconds. I deleted a process block that took in excess of 20 minutes to make (accidentally instead of clicking copy) . The trash can definitely should not be located next to the copy. What a waste of my time! An undo button is a basic feature that should a given.
Is there a reason that you are not adding this feature? This thread goes back 10 months and yet the feature has not yet appeared?, It seems a pretty basic addition which will prevent people losing their work (and time, effort and patience!).
The new undo notification appears for 12 seconds with a timer indicator. If you need longer than 12 seconds, hover your mouse over the notification to pause the timer. You'll also see multiple notifications when more than one block is deleted.
Let us know if you have any questions about this enhancement!
I just came across this issue by accidentally deleting an entire table with a lot of work. Has this issue been resolved. I am really hoping I can get my work back.
I think the problem is more than just the lack of ability to undo. I only selected a single row in the table to delete and the entire table was deleted forever so there is an issue with being able to delete a single row. I will not be building a table in Rise again until this issue is fixed because it is too risky.

The Undo button appears when you delete blocks and lessons, but won't show up when deleting text (and tables) within the blocks. You can press the Ctrl+Z (Command+Z for Macs) keys to undo your recent actions. This should help get back the deleted table in your Rise course.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any additional questions or clarifications.
This is an unacceptable solution. This thread goes back years and your solution is that the (very subtle) undo button is on the screen for marginally longer? Undo is a basic function as is version control. You can do better than this!!
I agree. Please make that button last way longer or be a permanent feature. This is really aggravating that by the time you realize you deleted the wrong thing, it is already gone forever. It is even more frustrating that this still seems to be an issue after all these years and all these users requesting for this to be improved.
Oops, hit the wrong button and lost a page. First time this has happened & super frustrating that there is no app wide undo. Upon discovery, I'm astounded that the existing limited undo function with the disappearing timer is joke-like video game. Who thought of that? Satan?
Hi Alyssa, Can you please provide an undo button? People have been providing feedback for three years now. The shock of seeing all your hard work disappear takes longer than it does to notice the brief appearance of the undo button.
Just lost a whole table with hyperlinks because I thought I was deleting a row, not the entire table!

HELP!!! I accidentally deleted an entire block of slides that took hours to create. How can I recover this?

Undo is a basic operation and should be included.

I agree. Thank you. It's nice to know that the banner is longer, but we really need a multiple undo/redo feature.
This is marginally better than before, but why do it this way at all as this is a totally unfamiliar UI/UX.
Stick to a standard modal dialog box that everyone knows, and is already used to confirm deletion of items in the Block Template library:
Hello,
I just came across this issue by accidentally deleting an entire table with a lot of work. Has this issue been resolved. I am really hoping I can get my work back.
Hi Aroha! I'm sorry to hear that.
We have improved the visibility of the undo notification, as mentioned by Alyssa in her comment here.
However, if the Undo button is no longer visible, there isn't any way to recover the deleted content.
Thank you for your reply,

Hi Aroha,
The delete button in the Table toolbar shouldn't be there.
Note that you can delete a single row by selecting the Rows button, and then choose delete row.
I also ran into this
