I am working on interactive content created with Rise 360 to post on the intranet of my organization.
I exported in the "web" format and the web team uploaded the unzipped folder on our organization's intranet.
The content displays special characters e.g. – instead of the collapse button and an extra special character "Â" at the end of some of the words in the text.
(see examples in the attached images)
When I preview the same content in the Articulate cloud there are no issues, same on LMS.
My web master thinks it is usually due to Copy and Paste from Word. Smart Quotes, Smart Apostrophes, more than one non-breaking space between words, Em dashes, …. cause these unusual artifacts.
Is there a way to avoid this issue without manually writing all text? Copying from MS word or other sources saves a lot of time.
Thank you in advance for your feedback/suggestions
Hi Lorenzo! I would suggest converting the Word document to plain text, then you can copy and paste from there. Converting to plain text will destroy the formatting.
