Uploading a "Flashcard" elsewhere

In a module I'm working on, I want to remind learners that they've seen something before and that was on a Flashcard earlier in the module. I wanted to recreate the effect of clicking on the flashcard to reveal the back of it, and then upload it (in this instance) into a timeline.

I've achieved this by using Snag-It to capture a video of clicking on that flashcard, pausing, and then flipping it back. I did it a couple of times so the video is about 10 secs. I saved it as a gif and successfully uploaded it. 

I'd be keen to hear how other people would have approached the task, and what might have been a better way of doing it.
