Variables with quiz retry

As part of my quiz I have set the retry option. When in "retry" I don't want my users to see the content slides as my quiz runs throughout my presentation.

I read another thread which suggested using the variables so that the slides branch to the next quiz question when the variable is true. I am struggling to make this work.

I have set the project variable "Retry" to false. On the results slide I set the trigger on the retry button to adjust the variable "retry" to true. However, the actions I have set for when the retry variable is equal to true do not seem to work. I have tried several different things to test this in case I was trying to be too sophisticated with my initial plans.

Any one able to help - I think my issue is getting things to work if the variable has been changed by clicking on the retry button.

Hi Anna and welcome to Heroes! 

It sounds like you've got a great offer from Dennis here to check your variable logic! So if you're able to post the .story file here for the community to look at, that's the best way to get started. 

You may also want to view this thread, with an answer from Rebecca on how to set this up for Review or Retry.

Thanks Dennis that is really generous.

I continued trying yesterday and made good progress. I was able to make it work the logic work on some dummy slides. I then made it work on a shorter version but am still unable to make it work on the full version. I found yesterday by creating my own retry quiz button that seemed to make it work. Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem on the full one. I have uploaded the full one (minus two slides) for you to take a look at if you have time.

Ashley - Thank you for my comments I will take a look at the suggested thread. I have tried to attach it but I can't tell if it has worked. If it hasn't is there another way to post the file?

You were very close... Great work on this story, great presentations skills.

I made 1 change on slide 1.11 and it now only covers questions in your retry mode.

I added a conditional statement after the SubmitInteraction that jumps the user to the next Question slide.

I have attached your revised story file.
