Learn about the process for closing a sale in this sleek PowerPoint template. This process template uses simple hyperlinks to create a tabbed interaction you can click through in any order. Replace the content with your own, or use it as is! Download the fonts (Golden Plains and The 27 Club) to get the exact look-and-feel.
Thanks for sharing this.
I have tried to replace the content with my own but have struggled to change the header (How to Close a Sale)? I am new to this type of PowerPoint and wondered if you could offer me some guidance please?
Hi there Neil! Thanks for your question. If you open up the PowerPoint file, and click on the "View" tab of the ribbon along the top, then click "Slide Master" you'll find the area where you can edit the background image, the header, and the tab items that are clicked. Hope this helps ! :)
This is a great interactive ppt. Am I able to add an 8th slide to this? I was not able to change the background image using view. Can you elaborate on that?
Thanks
How do you get the different content to show?
When I view the Slide Show, the course responds just fine, allowing me to click anywhere to see the content, but when I'm actually in the project, I can't see any hyperlinks to allow the user to choose any step to go to. Does that make sense? I don't see any animations, hyperlinks, etc. I even looked in Master View.
I'm expecting to see "When you click this, jump to slide ___.", but I don't see that anywhere. Am I losing my mind?
Oh, and hey, thanks for sharing! You all do such beautiful work.
Hi Heather! Thanks for leaving your comment. The way it works in PPT is that you select an object and then go to the insert tab on the ribbon, and select "Actions" . That's where you can link between slides in PPT. it's all done with Actions/ hyperlinks in PPT. Hope this helps! :)
Thanks, Nicole! I see the Action in Master view now.
Why would you set this up in the Master rather than a "regular" slide? I've never been able to "get" Masters (in either PPT or SL).
Thanks again for the insight!
Hi Heather! Reason being if I set up the actions on the slide master, I only have to add them once there, on the master.
If not, I would have to recreate the tabs individually on each slide and have the actions on each slide, it would take a lot more time. By using the master, I can do it once, and apply the layout to all my slides.
Hope that made sense. I would strongly recommend you start playing around with slide masters and get to know them, they are a bit difficult to get the hang of but once you figure them out you will never go back, they are such a huge timesaver. Here's an article about how I use slide masters in Storyline that i recently wrote (but it also applies to PPT) https://community.articulate.com/series/nicole-s-articles/articles/use-storyline-slide-masters-save-time
The use case makes sense, but actually USING and BUILDING them is beyond me. :) I've tinkered with Feedback Masters, but they don't stick around outside the current project (or so I've been told). That doesn't seem to jive with the whole point of making a master. When saving the Feedback Masters as a template they still have this odd residue where feedback is floating randomly in the wrong place (even though I delete it in Master View).
I think my negative experiences with Feedback Masters has sworn me off Masters completely, but I will happily read your article and tinker with them.
Thanks!
I totally get where you're coming from Heather - but the more you play around with them, the more you will understand how they work and how they can help you! They really can I promise! haha
Thank you so much for the link you shared us, Nicole! I am using this presentation to learn how to both use Slide Masters as well as how to convert the PowerPoint into an interactive presentation using layers and animations in Storyline, and so far I'm having fun with it
