Launched my Storyline 360 desktop app and was prompted to sign in. Typically clicking 'sign-in' launches a browser window where I sign in and then have access on the desktop as well. Today I received the attached message in the application when I clicked sign-in. "Couldn't Open Port" "Unable to open a port for authentication responses." Steps taken: Closed out and relaunched desktop application Restarted entire computer and relaunched Went directly to Articulate360 website to sign in Got into website, but did not connect me to the desktop app. Peers in my organization are not experiencing the same issue. Thoughts? Thanks!1.7KViews0likes11CommentsCourse performance issue on review link after attempting pre-assessment – slides loading very slow
Hello Community, I’m experiencing a performance issue in an Articulate Storyline course, when reviewing this course on review link and need technical guidance. Course details: ~250 content slides 55 assessment questions Structure: Pre-assessment → Course → Post-assessment For alpha review, all 55 questions were kept open/visible in the pre and post-assessment, and reviewing course from review link. Issue: When reviewing this course from review link, If I attempts all (or most) of the 55 questions first and then proceeds to the course, slide loading becomes very slow after ~50–60% course completion. Navigation turns sluggish and remaining slides take a long time to load. Query: Does Storyline retain assessment data in memory until course exit? Any recommended best practices or solution on this? Looking forward to technical insights or similar experiences. Thanks,4Views0likes0CommentsStoryline Accessibility Issue
Hello all, I am currently building out a course that will have 5 different SCORM files. In files 1-3 the focus order is automatically displaying the course title. Note: The course title refers to the 'Player Feature: Title' that appears at the top of the screen near the menu when participants are accessing the course. File 4 is being very weird and is not displaying the course title at all except for one slide and it displays the wrong course title. The title is set correctly in the player, I have gone into the slide master and am unable to find and turn on/off the slide master title accessibility. In the focus order screen I am unable to delete it or type in alt text. Question 1: how do I turn off the course title in the focus reader while still displaying the title at the top of the screen? Question 2: If I can't do the above, how do I turn on the title so it is also included in the focus order for lesson 4 and is the correct title? Below is what the focus order looks like for file 1-3 with the 'Slide Master - Title' included Below is the focus order with the incorrect Slide Master - Title, it should read "Social Media" instead of "Environmental Scan". Below is the focus order with the missing 'Slide Master - Title' from the 4th file272Views0likes11CommentsArticulate courses not consistently tracking in Workday LMS
I found an old thread on this, but I am wondering if anyone has updates. We implemented Workday LMS a few months ago and have lots of reported issues with courses not recording completions. These are random and we cannot recreate what is happening for our employees. Workday is saying that the issue is in how the SCORM file is packaged with the authoring tool. This doesn't make sense since we see the issue frequently but not consistently. Any insights from this group are appreciated!Pick One Help
Hello, I created a free-form pick one question type for a slide. However, if I select one of the tiles I have created to be chosen and then try to select another one because I changed my mind on the answer, it will not unselect the first selection. This then results being stuck in a loop of an incorrect answer. I have even tried clicking on the wrong selection again to try to get it to unselect but have been unsuccessful. Any insight would be appreciated. I am including the Storyline file for this one slide below. Thank you, Kelly28Views0likes3CommentsArticuland Boston 2025 Cocktail Reception
I attended the summit in September and now, months later, my manager has asked that I make a presentation about it to our team. I really liked that at the cocktail reception they had tables assigned to different workforce sectors, health care, education, etc so folks with similar backgrounds could find each other easily. I took quite a few photos while I was at the summit but I didn't take any at the cocktail reception. I'm hoping someone might have taken something and be willing to share. I just want a nice wide shot of the room full of people as a supporting visual. You can now Localize Text to Speech on Rise and Storyline!
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting enhancement for all Localization Pro users! When you translate your course, the script will be automatically translated and new audio will be generated and re-inserted in the target language, saving you time and effort. What’s New With this update, translation now includes: Automatic translation of the script (the text that powers Text to Speech). Automatic generation and insertion of localized audio in your translated course. Validator updates: Validators can now update the script, and importing their suggestion will automatically update the audio as well. This functionality is now live in both Rise and Storyline. Important Note for Storyline Users This update applies to both AI Text to Speech and Legacy Text to Speech shapes. You’ll no longer need to manually replace audio after translation, it’s all handled automatically during the translation process! Next Steps We’d love to hear your feedback and learn about your experience using this new feature. Your insights are invaluable as we continue refining how teams create localized learning experiences.222Views2likes3CommentsPrompt for "full body character shots" for the AI Image generator
Greetings, Simple question, hopefully, how can I tell the AI image generator to "give me a full body shot" of a character I'm listing traits for? I'm running into this issue and it drives me crazy: everytime I want Storyline to generate a character, of any kind, with various prompts, using the AI image generator, it cannot or heavily struggles to get me 4 "full body shots". I'm always asking for the portrait format, not square or landscape. In photography, a full body shot is "from head to toe, completely framing the subject". Right now, unless I'm adding "walking" to my prompts, I'm getting Italian shots (head to pelvis), portraits and close-ups. If I write "standing", "full body shot" and whatnot, it doesn't generate complete characters. Please note for traits, be eyes, hair, eyes, skin color, outfits and such, Articulate's AI is... pretty spot on. It's not perfect and there are mishaps, but design-wise, it gets the job done. However, if I ask for a character, I do expect a full body shot unless I'm asking specific framing prompts. I currently have the Dec. 17th 2025 version of Storyline (3.107.35974.0), if that can tell you how the AI was fine-tuned by now. I know there's a new update today, but... right now I'm using the December version, since I needed to update Storyline right away a few days ago and I can wait for later versions. Thanks in advance and have a nice day :)24Views0likes2CommentsHow do I get learner to input a current date?
Hello! I need to create a quiz question in which the learner has to enter the current date into a text field or select the current date from a drop down like a calendar. How do I set this up and I also need the feedback to say correct, incorrect, or try again? I'm a beginner in Storyline and I do not know JavaScript. Any step-by-step instructions will be appreciated. Thank you!Solved36Views0likes5CommentsKeeping SCORM package small, best practices?
Are they any documents or guides that already exist for best practices while designing in Rise to ensure you don't end up with a massive SCORM file at the end? If not, can anyone add to this list of recommendations to avoid this issue in the future (for now, without use of an external tool): -Compress any possible video/ image assets and pay attention to file size as you upload -When designing in an external tool (Canva, Adobe CC, Adobe Express, etc.) make sure to watch your file size upon download -Be mindful of use of AI audio generated within Rise, larger file sizes -Be mindful of GIFS, background image file size, etc. Anyone else have anything to add or know of any existing resources for this kind of guidance? Additionally, any documentation from Articulate of how much size interactive blocks, custom blocks, or anything else that might take up additional data and need to be considered for usage would be very helpful. As the eLearning community drives toward more innovation, creativity, and interaction focused around a better end user experience, I am finding it difficult to navigate the balance of this with functionality without fully knowing the sandbox we have to play in (Rise current barrier, easier to see in Storyline).34Views2likes3Comments
