Nevin Katz is an online learning specialist at Education Development Center in Newton, MA. He has designed numerous multimedia pieces for both ETLO and clients, including an interactive model that depicts the causes of the seasons, animated timelines of Ancient and Modern China, and mathematics games for high school students. Nevin has also worked on several multimedia projects for EDC’s T4 India project, including an interactive Physics CD for single-computer classrooms, as well as audio and video programs for science and geometry. Nevin is a graduate of Swarthmore College, where he majored in Biology. After graduating, he earned his Ed. M. in Teaching and Curriculum at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and went on to teach secondary science for eight years. While teaching, Nevin wrote and illustrated the Dr. Birdley Teaches Science series, a nationally published set of teacher resource books for secondary school classrooms.
