I want to use a flipbook interaction, but as my template background is white you can't see the corners of the book to find where to flip the pages. Is there a way I can change the colour of the book - or even put a border on it?
Maybe I need to add some code into the java script? I know this could be a solution, just have no idea what to write and where in the script to put it.
The Flipbook colors cannot be controlled or modified via javascript, however, the page color can be adjusted from the Colors --> New Color Scheme in Engage. From the New Color Scheme dialog the following setting controls the Flipbooks Page color.
Thanks for your reply David. I had a feeling this might be the answer. Unfortunately we have very strict template guidelines and I cannot choose a different page background colour. I can use another interaction - just fancied trying out the flipbook for a change.
I'm not sure I was clear. My comments and instructions above are for changing the book color (Flipbook page color) and not the background of the interaction. Although the color scheme color is under or named Background --> Slide Background, this setting changes the book color.
David, this is helpful and timely. I have attempted multiple times to change the flipbook page color through the New Color Scheme dialogue box, but didn't think to select "Slide Background". I'll probably use it in a piece I'm building today...I need a book graphic.
Thank you confirming your instruction - I did misunderstand the first one. I would never have thought to try changing the slide background. Many thanks for your help.
I am trying to apply a transparent slide background to my flipbook interaction, but can't get it to work--it's the same one I use for the other interactions and those work. Anyone else find a way to make this work?
What kind of page flip software you use? And can you find out the page color setting? I used 3dpageflip standard and i can change the flip page color with setting page color.
The Articulate Engage Flipbook community interaction was built from the ground up using the Articulate Engage SDK (no longer available to the public). The option to change the page color was not included.

More on color schemes is outlines in here.
I hope this helps!

Kate,
As with the Flipbook interaction, not all Community Interactions or interactions built with the SDK support transparent backgrounds. Sorry!
