E-learning via Citrix server doesn't continue
May 06, 2011
Hi,
I've put down this post for Engage, because I think the problem might ly there. I've finished my first e-learning and let some people review it. The people working by the "normal" network had no problems. But the people working with Citrix, could not pas one slide. They could not go foreward, but could also not go back. (which I did allow them to do)
The people got stuck in an Engage slide, Media tour with only 1 movie in it. I tried several settings, but the colleag's working via Citrix could not continue. What do I do wrong.

Hi Francisca,
Based upon my research, the issue is likely caused by something on the Citrix side. I'd recommend contacting Citrix or checking their help documentation on running Flash content in a Citrix environment.
Hi,
I know this was a while ago but did you ever find a solution? I have just come across the same issue.
Any help you can give me would be much appreciated!
Thanks
Hi,
It was indeed a while ago. :-) I made a "workaround". I've placed an image before and after the video in Engage Media tour (I still do that) and since then, I've never had any problems with this again. So, as long as I start the Media tour with a picture, and make sure the last item on the mediatour is a picture to, It works fine on our (Citrix) network.
We are having a similar issue with Storyline and Citrix and I can't seem to find a solution or reason but not sure this would work.
Thanks for getting back to me though...I will keep investigating.
Hi Tracey,
Were you able to confirm that they were working with a Citrix environment that matches the system and viewing requirements here? How did you publish the course and share it with them? You'll want to ensure it's loaded up to an environment intended for your publish type as you'll see described here.
Tracey, did you ever find a solution to your Citrix issue? We are experiencing some weird issues as well with folks in the Citrix environment using IE11, which is usually pretty reliable.
Hi Alex,
I'm not sure if Tracey is still subscribed here, as the post is a bit older - but you could always use the "contact me" button on a ELH users' profile to reach out to them directly!
Also, if you want to share more about the "weirdness" you're seeing, myself and others in the community may have other troubleshooting ideas!
I'm still here! Alex, it turned out that our client had made some upgrades and changed the SCORM requirements without telling us. Once the updated SCORM settings were used, everything worked fine. Such a simple thing....in this case.
Thanks Tracey for that update! I'm glad it was something so simple in your case and appreciate you sharing here in case it does help another community member.
