Engage as swf in Captivate doubles on re-load

Apr 13, 2012

Hi all--

I have inserted an Engage Process interaction into Captivate.  It works beautifully the first time (see first image), but I have a 'BACK' button on the Captivate slide--when you click that, then return to the engage slide, it doubles the number of steps (see second image); ORr it will try to load and show a black box to the left of step 1 and nothing works (see third image).  Any ideas?  This behavior occurs in the Captivate swf file, in the Captivate html version and when the Captivate swf is inserted into Presenter and published.

Ok.  I found a work around:  enabling the question regarding 'resume where you left off?'  causes the file to load correctly each time...the only catch is that the learner will have to answer the question each time they go back to that slide.  Their answer doesn't seem to matter ('yes' or 'no').  For this project, it's not an issue, but it would be great if there were another way to do this!
