Engage Interaction loses formatting

I have a studio project that is behaving erratically. I was working in presenter, updating audio files with new versions and when I went to preview all audio had disappeared. I noticed there were 3 ppta files - I did the switcheroo of ppta files to try to make the reconnection. Still no audio - two of the three are the same size. I decided it was faster to just re-insert the audio, but now one of my engage interactions has lost all the formatting I did (and when I was packaging back/forth between another computer, this same engage interaction had reverted back to the template with my info, but no images or colour changes had stuck.
Can I find this engage interaction without having to do it a 3rd time?
Any insights?

I'm not following what may be going on here. You're not able to locate your original Engage file, or are you saying that your updates are not saving?
When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Engage '13 interactions, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.
