Engage interaction occcasionally won't advance to next slide

Aug 17, 2018

I have a course built with Studio 360 that includes several Engage 360 interactions, all of which are set to advance only after the user has viewed all items. Occasionally a user gets stuck and cannot advance after clicking all the items. Starting the course over and selecting NO for "Resume where you left off?" seems to get around it. This has happened to only a handful of the 800 or so users who have completed the course (about 1%), and it typically happens in different interactions. I am unable to replicate the problem on my computer. Can anyone explain what circumstances might lead to this happening or how it might be avoided?

Hi there, James!  It's always tough to nail down a problem when you can't replicate on your end.  I'd start by asking the affected users what browser they're using to view the content.  I'd also try to find out if Flash Player is enabled.  Did you publish the courses for HTML5-only or with Flash fallback, or using a different format?

A super easy way to grab those details is to ask your users to go to http://supportally.com/ and give you the details they see.  If you can find a common denominator, let me know!  I'm also happy to test out your content if you'd like to share your Articulate Package here.
