Glossary displaying two terms at the same time

May 24, 2012

It appears that if the user starts clicking terms during the initial glossary load (which they are not aware of) before the load is complete, then one of the terms gets "stuck". The result is that the "stuck" term over lays each additional term the user clicks. This requires them to figure out or call the helpdesk to find that they must re-click the "stuck" term to de-select it. Is there anything we can do to prevent putting the users in this situation? This is our first use of Articulate and would rather not have talk to people about limitations or work-a-rounds so soon. Thanks all.

Hey Kevin, welcome to Heroes!

Sorry for the trouble your users are bumping into. It looks like they're experiencing the kind of issue that a large or slow-loading Glossary can cause. How fast or slow an interaction loads can be dependent on the user's system resources or connection speed. This article helps explain in more detail, as well as offer some ideas to help resolve it. Let us know if that's helpful, and if not, we can always direct you to our awesome support team. Thanks, and welcome again!
