Glossary images are getting shuffled?

Apr 09, 2013

Hi folks,

I am trying to make a 200 word glossary with definitions and images. When I create the glossary and preview it, the proper images appear for each word. When I publish the presentation, a random group of images become shuffled and they attach themselves to the wrong word. I then go back to fix it, preview the glossary for accuracy, and then when I publish it again, a different group of images gets moved around. Any thoughts as to why this may be happening and how it can be fixed?

Thank you!

Hi Laura,

Are you viewing the published interaction locally, by any chance? If so, that may be causing the problem.

If you view a published Studio'09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
If that doesn't help, it may be an issue with the file. Are you able to share the .INTR file here, so I can take a look?
Thanks!

Thanks, Christine! I have attached the file here. Please note that this is a first draft. We find that at times the images appear and other times they don't. When we publish these we put them on our server and view them with the resulting URL. When we added the pictures this .intr file they were saved on the local computer. We have never had these issues before and we use this tool quite often. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Thank you!

Hi Laura,

Thanks so much for the file! Oddly enough, though.. I'm having even less luck with the file. Do you have images for each glossary item? I've yet to find a single image for a listed term. And this is only when previewing, I didn't even get a chance to publish and test the file.

Looks like something may have corrupted the actual interaction file. Are there any special characters, spaces or underscores in the image file names? If so, you may want to try renaming the images and try inserting them again. Hopefully that will do the trick.

If that doesn't help, this may be something our support team may want to check out.
