Skip labels in Engage anyone?

Jun 27, 2011

Hi all,

One issue that has annoyed us is that when assembling a series of Engage interactions in Presenter users are forced to view every label. This is especially annoying for users who have already read all label inf and just want to skip ahead to a different slide. The forward and back buttons don't allow the user to navigate and they are forced to read all of the labels.

So I'm hoping there is a way to allow labels to be skiped.

In the Interactiion Properties under Playback, the Interactive option doesn't allow the labels to be skip - but this seems a logical choice to allow labels to be skipped.

Any help appreciated!

Hi Alex!

It sounds like you just need to adjust the properties on the engage interactions.  Set it to allow user to leave interaction "Anytime" and Show Next Slide button "Always".  I've done several courses with a series of engage interactions, and this *mostly* works for me.  Unfortunately, it doesn't allow the learner to go back to the previous interaction, but it allows them to go forward to the next one.

Sounds like a good feature request to me!

Hey thanks Kim! That's what I've been looking for for a while.
I thought this setting would be under either the individual Engage Interation Properties, or in the Presenter Sldie Properties / Presentation Options.

Sounds like a nice Engage eLearing solution could hellp developers get to know where all of these features are.

Thanks again Kim you've made my boss very happy.

Brian - Yes my presentation with all of my Engage Interactions was restricted.
Kim has helped locate the applicable settings. I can't seem to reply to your post Brian so I'm lumping it together with a reply to Kim. )
