I sometimes present live with engage slides in the articulate product. However I am unable to use my regular remote presenter, as it is not programmable.
I just bought a SMK emerald which is programmable, what do I set the buttons at to be able to advance through an engage slide, instead of using the down arrow on my laptop?
Allow me to clarify a little more. So in Engage 09, one of the problems I've had in the past in live presentations is that my traditional remote presenter, or navigator as they are sometimes known, will take me directly to the next slide instead of moving through the various components of Engage slide.
Instead of being chained to my keyboard, what I would prefer to do would be to use a remote presenter to allow me to advance through the various components and facets of the Engage slide.
So in purchasing a programmable remote, I should now have the capacity to advance through the Engage slide. What I need to know is what kinds of commands to put into the remote that will allow this to occur. I have been to the website, downloaded both the instructions as well as the program for programming the remote, now just need to understand how to organize and structure it.
Engage doesn't have keyboard controls, presenter would work with the standard page up, page down commands, but engage cannot be controlled by the keyboard
I do not want to use the keyboard as much as I want to use a remote projector, like a clicker. So I tested it this AM, it will advance the components in Engage, just on Engage slides, it will not advance to the next slide. I will keep tinkering with it.

After posting that, I thought I would test it, you should be able to use the arrow keys to go through engage
Right,
I do not want to use the keyboard as much as I want to use a remote projector, like a clicker. So I tested it this AM, it will advance the components in Engage, just on Engage slides, it will not advance to the next slide. I will keep tinkering with it.
The engage interactions use the arrow keys, the presenter pages use the page up and page down keys
