The publishing toolkits do not have a 3D object viewer. However, you can embed your own using the web object feature. Here's an article that outlines doing this using PDF 3D objects:
Provided your Web objects will run locally, shouldn't be a problem. I've run custom Flash pieces in a Web object locally and have some older files that used Wirefusion as a Java applet. Both ran fine at the time.
