Alignment of objects on Timelime

Jun 17, 2014

Is there a way to align the objects evenly on the timeline in Presenter in the timeline interaction? I tried the search function, but that doesn't seem to be working here on the site.

Hi Will,

No doubt the search feature on the forums could definitely use a helping hand - we're hoping that the next version of the forums will have a more user-friendly search feature.

In the meantime, however, I personally recommend using Google instead. If you use a specific string "site:nameofdomain.com", you can narrow the search results for a specific domain. For example, you could search for "Timeline objects site:community.articulate.com". Using that search, you'll actually see a lot of pretty helpful threads.

For your specific inquiry, I'm not sure if you're looking for a timeline in Presenter (there isn't a timeline in PowerPoint) or a specific Engage '13 interaction. I'm assuming you're referring to the Engage '13 Timeline interaction -but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Resizing periods

To change the length of a period, do the following:

  1. Hover your mouse over the beginning or end of the period in the timeline panel.
  2. Click and drag with your mouse to shorten or lengthen the period.
  3. Release your mouse to accept the change.

Please let me know if you have any trouble with this, or any questions.

Hi William,

That's from the archives, to it's probably related to a much older version. Having said that, however, we cannot support the modification of published files.

Perhaps other community members that are comfortable with making those modifications can jump in and give you some assistance. :)

Best of luck!

Christine
