Allowing employees to stop training and restart at the same point

Dec 12, 2012

Hi everyone,  I am new to Articulate so I apologize if I am missing the obvious.  I am going to publish my Presenter training to Articulate Online.  I want to give employees the opportunity to start watching the training, stop it, and come back to it at a later time and restart from the place they left off.  Is this possible?

Thanks!

Hello!

An external entreprise is developing some courses for use.

I noticed that the feature "Prompt user to resume where stoped" is not working correct. I only save the further place the student have been.

Exemple:

1. I finished a module (slide 80)

2. next day i redo the module until slide 10

3. some hours later i go back to the course and when i choose to start from the slide i left off (10), it goes to the end (slide 80)

The enterprize explained that it doesn't work because we asked to publish in HTML5 instead of Flash.

Are there a way to make this feature work for HTML5?

Thanks!

Hi Andrea,

You may find that the resume feature doesn't work as you'd expect after you've met the completion requirement for your course—either by viewing the required number of slides or by passing a quiz.

Most LMSs consider a course to be in review mode after the tracking requirement has been met. In review mode, resume data is no longer sent to the LMS, which prevents learners from accidentally changing their course status back to incomplete.

You can read this article for a bit more detail and a way to change that.
