For some reason, AP will not let me delete or edit a specific presenter that I entered into the program. All other Presenters entered afterwards I am able to edit their Bio info, email info, name, etc., but for some reason this specific presenter will not change regardless of what I do.
I have tried editing the information from the "Presentation Options" window with no luck. Is there another way I am overlooking to overcome this problem?
I am beginning to think that is the closest to a solution I am going to get. The only hesitation I have with doing that is having duplicate presenters in the system, which then runs the risk of selecting the wrong one when trying to insert them into the Articulate Presentation.
Did you get the project file from someone else? Also, is the Presenter that you're trying to delete set as the "default" presenter? Can you try removing the presenter from the default & then removing the presenter?
No, I did not get the project file from someone else. The presenter I am trying to delete is not the default. I made him the default and then switched the default to a different presenter to see if that would make a difference. I would try to delete the presenter and then restart PowerPoint. I have tried deleting all of the presenters. All of these different combinations and nothing has solved the problem.
It sounds like a permissions issue that is preventing you from deleting the Presenters. The default location for presenters is C:\Program Files\Articulate\Presenter\objects\presenters. The default location for presenters in Windows Vista and Windows 7 is C:\Users\your_name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Articulate\Presenter\objects\presenters
Can you try opening up those folders & let me know which location your presenters are saved in? You may need to 'Show hidden files' to see them:
Yes, you can manually delete the files there if you want. I'd recommend right-clicking the Presenters folder & clicking on Properties. Select the Security tab & make sure that each user group has "Full Control" of the folder.

haven't seen that before. Can you just re-enter that presenter at the end of the list?

Hi Nelinda,

I found them in this file path: C:\Program Files\Articulate\Presenter\objects\presenters
Would I be able to delete the folder of the presenter I am trying to get rid of? Will that fix it?

Hi Brian,
That worked!! Thank you very much!
