I noticed as I am going from slide to slide opening up the attachment drop down that the thumbnail is not showing the current slide and that is a problem for my director. Is it possible to fix that or to hide it?
The thumbnail is defaulting to the first slide of your course:

I'm not sure I'm following what you're looking to set up. If you'd like an image on your slide to appear larger when the user hovers over it - have you looked at how the hover state behaves and what elements you could add to it?
