Hi, Have 2 recordings belonging to the same presentation. I ned to import the sound from the first one to the second one. How do I turn the first recording into wave files so that I can save them and then import to the second recording?
HI Anna - do you mean the video portion of the tutorial? That was made with Screenr, our free screencasting tool. Does that help? Or were you looking for something else?
If you plan to insert the tutorials into a course (such as an e-learning course you build with the Articulate tools) you could download the MP4 from any of your screencasts and then insert it into your course. Or, you could insert the screencast as a Web Object into Articulate Presenter or Articulate Storyline.
Another option is to just use hyperlinks to direct your learners to the appropriate screencasts. In Screenr, every screencast has a unique URL, so this way you could just rely on Screenr to host your videos. There's no limit on how many screencasts you can create.
Another option, if you want to embed the screencast into an HTML page, is to copy the Screenr embed code and insert it into the HTML page. To do that, just go to the screencast you want, click the button labeled "Get embed code," and that will pop up a little window like the one shown below, where you can specify the dimensions. Then you can copy/paste the code. That's how we do it for our tutorials here on the E-Learning Heroes site.
Thanks! Perfect. Just one more question; Since I work in a company where I develop internal training, we are not so keen on having our videos on a public webportal. How can I save my videos not on Screenr website but directly to my computer or the companys folders? Is that possible?
One thought is to download your MP4 as soon as you're done recording your Screenr video, and then immediately delete it from the Screenr site. That way it's only on the site for a few seconds - once you delete it from Screenr, no one will be able to view it any more, but you'll still have the local copy that you downloaded.
Another approach would be to use Screenr Business, which is a paid version of Screenr - it allows you to create private screencasts that aren't part of the public Screenr site.
A third idea: If you have (or plan to buy) Articulate Storyline, it includes a very robust screen-recording feature that allows you to record and export screen recordings. There's a free 30-day trial available here, and you can learn about the screen-recording feature in this tutorial.

Hi Johanna! Here's a tutorial that shows how to export the audio from one project and import it into another. Does that give you what you need?
Hi,
Yes, it did! Exactly what I needed - thank you!
Hi Jeanette! I'm so curious, what software did you use to create your presentation on export and import audio??
Thanks
Anna

Yes! But what do I need to have in order to save the recording on my computer to be re-used in our company as tutorials?
Thanks!
Well, there are a couple ways to do it.
