Backing up work

May 17, 2012

Hello

I have two questions?

Firstly, I've just had an unhandled exception report in the middle of designing a quizmaker questionbank. Quizmaker closed down and the only work that was saved was what I'd done yesterday even though I'd been saving as I went along. Is there anyway of getting the work I've done today back?

Secondly, this raised the question of what would happen if the PC died, would my Articulate files be saved anywhere remotely? This is a work laptop and is not networked.

Many thanks

Hi Jackie,

Really sorry to hear about the lost work. Were you working with a quiz inserted in Presenter? If so, simply using the Save & Return to Presenter option won't actually save the changes to the quiz file. You would need to use File > Save from within PowerPoint. This older thread may give you some ideas for possibly recovering lost files.

Unfortunately, there's no way for us to save your files remotely. In the future, if you'd like to backup your work progress, we recommend using the Send to Articulate Presenter Package option. Sorry again for the lost work. I hope the above info is helpful.
