Can a button serve 2 functions?

Hi all:

I am wondering if there is a way to assign 2 functions to a button. For example, I would like them to click a button that would both: 1- open an email where they submit their comments, 2- advance the course to the next slide. The purpose being that they have completed one section (that requires them to submit (via email) a document), and that the action of submitting the document signals the end of that section and when they return from sending the email I would like the course to be on the next section ready to go.

I don't see how to assign multiple actions to a single object. Any ideas how I can accomplish this result?
