I'm having some real inconsistencies with a module I'm building. My question is: can/should SWF files be able to be controlled by the main timeline? I know FLV movies can, but I'd prefer to use SWF files if possible.
Or, is there any way I can force the player to recognize them? Any AS code I can put in them to allow them to be controlled by the main timeline player controls?
Hi Amber - when you import your Flash movies, just select Synchronize slide and movie from the Synchronization window.
Keep in mind that Presenter's seekbar will only control .swf animations located on the main timeline. Movie clip timelines will be ignored so this isn't recommended for interactive .swf movies, swf movies with multiple movie clips and levels.

Here's some great info on using Flash and Studio '09: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=ap9&id=eu4d0qnejei8
