Can Presenter create branching scenarios?

Oct 19, 2016

Hi,

I'm re-building an old course that we don't have the original files for. Also, I only have Presenter, not Storyline. The course has 5 different admin roles and the learner selects one of the 5 from the beginning, and that is the only content they'll see. The main difference is that the first role basically has like 10 extra slides, the other four roles are pretty much the same, and then everyone has the same closing slide. What I'm trying to figure out is how to make this not linear in Presenter... it doesn't go slide 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc., depending on the role  you select.

Not sure if this makes sense -- attached a simple graphic mockup if that helps.

Thanks!

Hi Stephanie,

Great questions! You can accomplish this in Presenter with the use of PowerPoint hyperlinks to other slides on the navigation slide and using branched navigation in Slide Properties to set up where each slide goes to.

I put together a very basic example of a branching scenario so you can get the idea of what I'm describing and I've attached the Presenter Package here for you to take a look at it. Let me know if you have questions! :)
