We recently purchased Articulate and we have successfully installed the software and the character packs.
When I go through the online tutorials and try to insert a character on my powerpoint slide, I get a "Unable to get reference to the active slide. Please ensure that a slide is selected and then repeat this operation."
I've tried several times with illustrated and photographic characters and selecting different areas of the slide and nothing has worked.

Never mind I solved my own problem. I can insert them by starting a new presentation. I was trying to insert a character into a slide master.
