Is there a really simple way to center, horizontally, a text box or picture on a slide??? My eye isn't what it used to be and a command or keystroke would be very helpful.
another option - You can turn on the Drawing Guides under Grids and Guides. The default crosshairs are centered - It is pretty easy to then center text box toggles on those

Not sure what version of PPT you have, these instructions are for PPT 2010 - (to center horizontally & vertically on the slide):
Select the text box.
Click on Drawing Tools > Format Tab.
Click on Align.
In the drop down list, make sure Align to Slide has a check mark.
First, click on Distribute Horizontally.
Then, go back again and click on Distribute Vertically.
I wish there was a quick keyboard shortcut to just automatically perform all these steps. If anyone knows of one, please share!
