I have an Articulate file which has been published for CD. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the original powerpoint file, but I need to change one of the slides from "progress automatically" to "By User" as it is not displaying long enough to let the contents be read. Is there a way I can alter this in the presentation xml? Or one of the other files?

Did a quick test. This seems to work for me. Your mileage may vary.
Open the presentation.xml file in the "data" folder
Scroll down to the slide in question (You can verify the slide by looking at the or tags.
For each slide, there's a tag.
true means advance "By User"
false means "progess automatically".
Make the change, resave the file and test.
