You can use the Notes tab within Presenter '13 if you wish to include some text for the learner, but there is not a closed caption feature within the software.
The link I shared above walks you through how to add the notes and have them display on the side for you learner as you mention. There is not an update that would include this with Studio, but it is a part of Storyline 360 if you'd like to take a look.
It looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

Where is the notes tab? I can only see a side note if I go to Add Annotations.
With an older version of Articulate we had a side panel open for viewing. Can this be published this way?
My learners may not have sound available at their station.
