You can use Presenter notes to simulate the appearance of closed captioning. It's not exactly the same, but it functions in an appealing way that feels very similar to captioning.

I'm using 3playmedia to add closed captioning to videos on our YouTube channel. The only workaround I know of at this time is to include a link to the YouTube channel on a slide in your module.
