Controlling access to a webpage linked to from Articulate

Jun 05, 2012

I've been told that there is a way to embed a web page as a slide and lock it down so users can only view if they have completed viewing a presentation. I've been told it involves inserting a web object in the slide and then controlling it so users can only get to that slide after viewing other ones. This doesn't mean much to me.  Help!

Hi Jennifer!

Sounds like the first thing you'll want to do is decide what kind of course navigation to use; maybe restricted? That would force your users to view each slide in order and all the way through. Then as far as inserting a web object, that's really easy! You can follow the tutorial here to place it wherever you'd like within your course, and depending on how you decide to mange the navigation, your users won't be able to view the slide with the web object until they've viewed every slide prior to it.

Hope that's helpful!
