Course time and elapsed time not matching

Sep 14, 2017

I have a course that is not allowing users to show as complete because the elapsed time is shorter than the course time by 5 seconds.

I thought it was because users are not spending all the time allotted to the engagement. There is no audio for the engagement and I have the 3 engagement slides allotted to one second. When I changed it to 1 second the course time decreased from 15:47 to 15:31 but as you can see there is still a 5-second discrepancy, see image below.

What do I need to do to get the times to line up?

Thanks,

Mindy

Hi Mindy,

Do you have any slides that are not being shown to the user that could be calculating in the total time? Also, what version of Presenter are you using? It may be easier to diagnose the cause if we were able to take a look at your Presenter package file.

Here are directions on how to pull that together for Presenter '13 and you could share here or send along to our Support Engineers here.

Thanks Mind and sorry for the delay! I took a look and previewed your individual Engage slides too and those were set at around 4 seconds. I actually took a little video of this behavior while previewing here:

So based on that it seems that it's the individual Engage items that could be causing you to be a few seconds short, if you're not clicking on them but you've gone through the entire course otherwise. Can you check that on your projects?
