Creating an agreement button

Feb 26, 2014

Hello,

At the beginning of our course, we would like to include a slide that has some program stipulations listed. We would like for the student to, in effect, sign off to say that he or she agrees to abide. Is there a way to create an "I Agree" button, or something that would have the same effect? We want to ensure that they are signing off on this before being able to move on to access the course material.

I've tried playing around with Quizmaker and having them type in "I Agree." But I cannot see a way to remove the test results page that pops up. I've also taken a look at the Engage elements, and I'm not seeing anything that would be appropriate.

Thanks,

Tracy Puckett

Hi Tracy

You could simply put a shape on your PPT slide that  that is labelled "I agree..." than add a hyperlink on it to the next slide.  Remove the Next button from the player from within slide properties, so the user can only advance by clicking "I agree...", therefore if they continue with the course you have their agreement...

You could also have a "I do not agree..." that takes you to another slide that says you can't take the course if you don't agree etc.

Hope that helps

I am trying to do exactly the same thing except that I need this info to be exported in the LMS. Is there a way to create this kind of button and, when the user clicks, the info appears in the LMS?

Maybe some kind of Javascript... but I don't know Java for now... So anything else that could be easier?

Thank you so much,
