I need to create a broken box effect. For this I have used free form objects and have manually created jagged ends to show the broken/shattered effect. Here is what I have gotten so far.
My problem is that I am not able to create sufficient depth in this broken box effect. Can you please help?
I have attached the powerpoint file with the free form objects.
There's a few things I can think of that could help.
Option 1 is to adjust the Distance option in the Format Shape>Shadow section on the original freeform object, this will give a greater height effect before you group the shapes and convert to an image.
Option 2 is to create the shadow using a duplicate shape placed under the freeform, rather than the drop shadow feature. You can then control the colour/position/blur on this shape and overlay the original achieve the effect you want.
Option 3 would be to use a tool like SnagIt which has this type of torn edge effect as an inbuilt feature to create the shape
