Discussion Page Improvement

Jun 17, 2015

Why is there no search tool for the discussion boards?

It would be very helpful to have a keyword search capability within a single discussion board.  I need to look for a specific topic, but to do so I need to look at the titles of every posted discussion and hope the title references what I'm looking for.

The other option is to post a new question, which then starts a discussion thread all over.  I believe you should be able to provide a search tool for a board without having to ask the user to view all entered threads.

Food for thought and maybe an opportunity for improvement.

Hi, Darrell --

You may already be aware of this option for searching, but have you tried clicking the magnifying glass icon at the top of the Discuss page? You should be able to search if you click on the magnifying glass as seen below.

You are also welcome to use "site:articulate.com" and then the keyword behind it that you are searching in a Google search, and it will yield lots of returns. Hope that helps!

I would like to add that I would like to see the ability to filter out the different product types. I know I can filter by Studio, Storyline, Quizmaker, etc. But it would be nice to be able to go even further with Studio '09 vs. Studio '13. Sometimes I filter by studio, get into reading about a topic, only to find out it is for a different version and does not apply to my situation.
