Hi,
Following is my scenario:
There are videos within my scorm package which make the filesize very big. I'm task to remove the videos and place them in a video streaming server.
I tried to unzip the scorm package, upload the video into the server, edit the presentation.xml.
this is the part that i edited
<filename>123.mp4</filename> to <filename>../../../../../../videostreaming/123.mp4</filename>
i did this because i need to go up to the root directory then to the videostreaming directory to link up with the file. it works.
BUT, i am ask not to use a relative link.
i tried /videostreaming/123.mp4 which should work but did not work.
any suggestions? please?

Hi Damian
I am sure this wont work, you need to edit the original presentation and add in a player that will reference your stream

one solution is to create a video player that uses an xml to find the stream based on which slide it is on. You then switch out all of swfs to this one by editing the presentation.xml and then add in an xml with all the stream location for your swfs and the slide they are on
that would work

Hi Phil,
thanks for your reply.
it works. the problem now is just relative link vs root link. i need the root link.
Ahh so your not "really" streaming your video, just hosting the content elsewhere, you are going to have to use a full path otherwise it will look in the swfs folder
hey phil, do you have any examples i can look at, because i really can't touch the source file due to alot of other issues.
you just need to put the path in you are already using relative links wont work because I think it will look in the swfs folder for a videotreaming folder, if not there it will look in the root dreictory for that folder
