Embedding Javascript inside a course

Nov 17, 2011

I'm asking this on behalf of one of our more technical people so try and bear with me

Sounds like we've been asked to build a course that:

1. includes a button that links to an external website

2. but the parameters passed in the link are calculated by a piece of JS

So, can JS be embedded somewhere inside a course?  Or would this need to be handled by another piece of Flash?

I'm probably not doing a good job of explaining this, plus I can't just upload the spec document publicly.  Therefore if anywhere here can help but would like more info then I'll see what I can forward across.  Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Simon,

Are you need the script to be on every slide or just a single slide?  If you just need it on a single slide, you could insert a web object that contains the JavaScript.

If you need it on every slide, you might want to take a look at James's linky tab:

He might be able to customize it so that you can run JavaScript...not sure.
