Errors when multiple Web outputs are on the same moodle page

Apr 03, 2012

Hi,

I have experienced issues publishing the web option to a moodle 1.9 page.

The first file plays back perfectly, but the second does not play, but instead it plays the first one again. I have linked to totally differnt folders in the Moodle files area, and eac time I replay the files I do a server refresh and a page refresh.

I have also tred renaming one f the player files to player1.html to make sure the file names and folder names are both different. Does anyone have an answer to this?

I was wondering if the 'web' output option uses cookies to 'bookmark' where a learner is up to. Could these be the reason?

I don't want to have topublish to scorm as this adds another step in the user process of clicking a scorm link (as well as clicking the link on the moodle page) And SCorm adds nothing tot he modules we are doing. No need to track anything as we use moodle quizzes to assess.

Thanks,
Brent

Hi Brent

The flash cookie should not cause the wrong course to load in moodle, although it may affect the progress.

I have never seen this in moodle, but I also normally only use scorms.  on the occasions I have used publish to web we used your method of seperate folders.

You could use scorm's and get them to launch directly from the course, just set it to always skip the attempts page, although your not tracking the course you get usage stats from this method.

I would just say your method should work, I could have a look for you if you give me access
