"File Not Found" error message using Internet Explorer

Jan 10, 2014

Users attempting to open one of our training modules in Internet Explorer (9,10) are receiving a "File Not Found" error message. Those using Firefox or Safari are not receiving this message.  Any thoughts?

Hi John,

Is it the entire course, or a specific slide/piece of content that results in the error?

Also, have you tried testing your project outside of your LMS? It may help to try testing in SCORM Cloud.

If you're using AICC content please take a look at the article below for testing information:

Articulate Support - Testing AICC content at SCORM Cloud

If the issue still occurs in SCORM Cloud, are you able to share a link so I can take a look on my end?

If the issue does not occur in SCORM Cloud, it may be a good idea to reach out to your LMS regarding the issue. Also, please report back and let us know which LMS you're using. I'd like to have the information available for anyone else that may run into this problem, especially if it's a problem with a server.

Thank you!

Hi John,

In your comment:

"I can open the course outside the LMS without any problem at all and as I mentioned those using FireFox or Safari also are not effected."

This is the information I was referring to. In your last response, you stated you're viewing it on the same server - does that mean your LMS also provides a web server or other type of service that's working for the module?

Have you tried contacting your LMS?

Have you tried testing in SCORM Cloud as I suggested earlier?

Thank you
